The Vice President/Assistant Vice Chancellor, People Wellness oversees employee health, wellness, and support programs for UCSF Campus and Health, comprised of over 22,095 staff, 10,659 academics, and 1,918 trainees. The individual is responsible for developing and executing the people wellness strategy for staff and in part for academics/trainees, with oversight of functions including Disability Management, Occupational Health, Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, the Health Care Facilitator Program as well as operations for Workers' Compensation, Leave Administration, and Benefits in conjunction with UCPath.
The Vice President/Assistant Vice Chancellor develops and implements strategies and programs to address employee needs related to wellness in alignment with UCSF's strategy and True North pillars and UCSF Health's strategic plan and True North pillars. Under the general direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), the individual implements wellness initiatives, policy formulation, program development and operations management for wellness functions, incorporating diversity, equity, and inclusion into planning and processes. This is a highly interactive position that requires direct and continuous interaction with all levels of UCSF and UCSF Health leadership, including direct partnership with the UCSF Health CEO/President, guidance from UCSF Campus including the Chancellor's Cabinet, Campus administrative leaders, and the UC Office of the President.
