This position will supervise clinical nursing staff involved in providing clinical patient care. Assists in ensuring the quality of patient care delivery in all Department of Radiology areas, which includes all sites (i.e. Moffitt Long, the Ambulatory Care Center, Mount Zion, China Basin, the Mission Bay Hospitals, PCMB and serves as a role model for professional nursing practice. Assists with the administration and management of personnel, fiscal, and material resources. May assume full responsibility for the unit in delegated areas and in the absence of the manager. This include all Radiology Faculty, Fellows and Residents and employees as it relates to training, monitoring and education, to include Radiology Leadership, Radiology Nursing, Radiology Technologists, Administrative Assistants and Hospital Assistants.
The Nurse Supervisor will work collaboratively with other departments, such as Nursing, Pharmacy, Regulatory, Infection Control, Emergency Department and other departments to continue to improve the safety of the patients. He/she will provide representation on medical center committees as it relates to radiations safety, compliance, quality and patient safety.
