UCSF's Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI) is hiring a Special Projects Analyst to provide analytical support on a variety of policies and projects and research, write and/or edit high-level correspondence/communications. The Analyst is often assigned work on a project basis and is expected to manage the entire problem-solving process, which includes researching and analyzing information, identifying and recommending potential solutions, and presenting the finished product in the form of a written recommendation or a completed project. The Analyst also collects relevant data and information; participates in policy and program planning and development; and encourages system-wide coordination, promoting best practices and convening system-wide committees and work groups. The Special Projects Analyst provides support for special ad hoc assignments and must possess interpersonal skills to interact and communicate effectively with stakeholders, staff in other departments/campuses, and senior managers/leadership within the University.
A notable feature of the position is that it involves activities that range from creative and independent to those that are relatively routine, and the successful Special Projects Analyst will do both well.
