The RN Residency Program is designed for newly and soon to be graduated RNs who have graduated on or after October 2019 with an ASN/ADN or higher level degree of nursing education. If you meet these requirements, when prompted please answer "yes" to questions regarding graduation dates and degrees. The application deadline is July 30, 2021. Interviews will be held in August. The program starts with Orientation on October 25, 2021.
Candidates selected for the RN Residency Program will be classified as a Clinical Nurse 1 and must have less than six months of RN employment experience at the time of the program start date. You will be expected to commit to at least two years of full-time employment on the hiring unit after the completion of training. All applicants must have an active CA RN license by September 25, 2021.
Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care
Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams
Carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required
Performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision
Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team
The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations is required
