The Health Professional Education Specialist will function as the MSBI Coordinator for the Master's of Science in Biomedical Imaging (MSBI) program in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging.
The MSBI Program is intended for students with Bachelor's degrees, advanced pre-doctoral students, postdoctoral fellows, residents, researchers, and faculty members who wish to master biomedical imaging and research methods to enhance their research designs and broaden their investigative projects. This intensive Master's program is typically completed within one year of full-time study and class sizes are approximately 20 students.
The MSBI Coordinator is responsible for the day to day operations and student contact; liaise with potential applications; coordination of MSBI applicant review, MSBI website maintenance; coordination of student orientation, course schedule, and faculty/advisor meetings; the generation and distribution of MSBI marketing materials; interact with UCSF's Graduate Division, International Students and Scholars (ISSO) office and Registrar's office on University-related matters.
In addition to the MSBI program, the individual will participate in the provision of the Continuing Medical Education (CME) activities planning under the oversight of the Director of Education, and working with the Office of Continuing Medical Education (OCME). The responsibilities of this position are designed to ensure appropriate professional support for developing and implementing CME activities, to provide oversight and tracking in the solicitation, receipt, and reporting of educational grants, and to provide selected administrative services.
The MSBI Coordinator will also provide a full scope of administrative assistance and analytical support to the Associate Chair for Capital Projects/Program Director of the Masters of Science in Biomedical Imaging in managing large inventory control and tracking of hospital equipment at various radiology sites, purchasing of equipment, and coordinating vendor and committee meetings.
