Under the general supervision of the Director of Operations for Cancer Solid Tumor Practices, the Practice Manager will work independently and have primary responsibility for the supervision of administrative staff and shared oversight for the medical assistant and nursing staff. The Practice Manager will be responsible for supervising the operational, human resource, administrative and business functions of the Urologic Surgical Oncology any satellite and affiliated clinics when those practices provide services at more than one location. The Manager must have the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks and work well with staff, patients and providers. A high degree of independence, initiative, assertiveness, and diplomacy are necessary in dealing with faculty, staff and patients in a complex environment. The Practice Manager has daily oversight of the practice financial operations to ensure compliance with existing funds flow model and allocation of expense. Works on a regular basis with leadership in the Departments of; Radiation Oncology, Surgery, Medicine, Psychiatry, Pathology, Radiology, Infusion Services, Periop, Sterile processing and specific inpatient units where surgery patients are admitted to ensure practice operations are meeting departmental objectives.
