Research - Laboratory/Non-Laboratory, Staff/Administrative
This position uses skills as a seasoned, experienced research administrator to independently oversee and manage a diverse portfolio of federal, state, and private contracts and grants, including awards that may involve multiple investigators and multiple sub awards. Responsibilities include oversight of monthly Budget Status Reports (BSRs), payroll distributions, financial status reports, invoicing, recharge proposal and operations management, depreciation of equipment, and closeout reconciliations. The Research Administrator will also oversee the annual budgeting process in UPlan for the Principal Investigators (PIs) that they support.
In collaboration with the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR), the Research Administrator also oversees the progress of outgoing proposals by providing budgetary and financial information and facilitating communications between the PIs and OSR staff to ensure deliverables are met for proposal submission. This position also reviews compliance issues according to campus guidelines and Uniform Guidance. The individual will communicate both verbally and via written communication with internal and external individuals at all levels.
