The individual will be an Executive Administrator in the Director's suite at the Diabetes Center to manage, plan and administer the operations of the Diabetes Center including extensive work and communication with external constituents and donors. As a member of the Director's office, the individual will provide excellent and independent administrative operational support to senior and junior faculty. Act as the Diabetes Center web master; create and update website content; create links to other relevant websites; coordinate Diabetes Education and Research Collaborations (DERC) program and the Nutrition and Obesity Center (NORC), coordinates meetings of the advisory committee.
Since the Director of the Diabetes Center also serves as a key leader within the Immune Tolerance Network, the Executive Administrator will also provide support in organizing national meetings that involves stakeholders from many academic organizations
Provides administrative support to the entire center by communicating on behalf of the director, coordinating social and scientific seminars and events.
