The Facilities Manager reports to the Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center (HDFCCC) Director of Finance and Operations and supports him and the HDFCCC President in managing >100,000 ASF of disbursed wet lab and office space under the President's control. Supports tracking space assignments and commitments and maintains accurate allocation information to accurately manage six recharges that equitably distribute common lab support services, salaries and operational costs amongst the 14 + departments in two locations.
The Facilities Manager oversees the delivery of shared wet lab and building support services in two cancer research buildings (over 250k gross sq ft), occupied by 400+ faculty and research staff from 14 departments. Work with faculty and department managers at each location to resolve issues that arise regarding shared space and equipment. Oversee facility support services needed for HDFCCC staff in all locations.
Receives assignments in the form of objectives with goals and the process by which to meet goals. Responsible for supervising all building maintenance activities. May oversee and participate in more complex maintenance projects. Provides direction according to established policies and management guidance.
