Summary of Essential Functions:
Serve in the role of classroom instructor for Young Peopleâs Studios program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver art and design content to youth through classroom instruction
Prepare and submit a syllabus to Area Coordinator within stated deadlines
Prepare supply order within stated budget and deadlines
Greet students and families warmly, assisting with any questions or concerns
Exercise classroom management, interventions and support as needed
Prepare students for the end of session art show and presentations
Keep accurate attendance records
Perform other related duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of specific art or design content area
Skills in material and tool use specific to the course
Ability to deliver scaffolded content to a variety of learners, and adapt to individual needs
Demonstrated years of experience teaching in the K-12 setting, or equivalent
Certifications/licenses: MSDE certification in Art Pre-K-12, CTE or other relevant area
Masters in Art Education or Teaching
