Under limited supervision, reporting to the Vice President for Development, the Executive Director for Annual Giving is responsible for coordinating, managing, and overseeing the Annual Giving and Lead Generation programs. Lead programmatic strategies to build awareness and engagement of alumni, donors, and friends. Oversee the entire operation of annual giving function and is the expert in all things related to conceptualizing, planning, and executing annual giving activities and projects to promote new and unprecedented growth in fundraising prospects and achieve fundraising success for the University's future. Responsible for the Lead Generation program to bolster unrestricted funds for the University and raise annual giving contributions and participation at all levels. Create an environment that embodies a culture of philanthropy at UofSC. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to, the Family Fund, Giving Day, senior class gifts, crowdfunding, matching giving, and young alumni programs. Oversee the annual giving program on the Columbia campus and partners with system campuses as needed regarding digital philanthropy, e-solicitations, direct mail and future special campaigns that include texting and phoning initiatives. Develop a central annual giving model to benefit all donors and help build positive relationships and a strong future of private philanthropic support. Develop strong partnerships with colleagues across the University system and provides exceptional collaboration toward shared goals of Annual Giving and Lead Generation programs. Serve as a member of the UofSC Development Senior Leadership team.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree and 5 years proven experience major gift/development, donor relations, sales, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been acquired may be substituted. Supervisory experience is required. Required to travel, work evenings and weekends. Must have a valid driver's license.
