The New School is seeking a full-time Assistant Director for Medical Services (35 hours/week) for a one year assignment to join a dynamic interdisciplinary medical care team to provide administrative support to the Medical Director and a team of medical providers. The Assistant Director will have a positive impact on the health of our students while using skills to their fullest potential. The Assistant Director reports directly to the Medical Director.

Provide administrative oversight of the health record and covid management systems
Manage logistical aspects of positive COVID-19 cases
Manage and approve all aspects of the electronic medical record schedule: from initial provider set up for provider schedules and daily operations.
Oversee the COVID-19 email account with support from clerical staff.
Interface with campus housing, Human Resources regarding COVID-19 compliance
Manage quarantine and isolation clearances and support providers in managing their caseload and follow-up appointments.
Serve as point person for overseeing COVID-19 testing issues.
Assist with office operations and management of patient flow.
Support providers in scheduling specialty appointments. Following up on consult reports.
Oversee and approve inventory and ordering of medical supplies
Participate in staff training for PNC use and other systems use: Zoom, Gmail, MyDay
Assist with training and supplies set up for new medical hires
Manage student and staff email responses for Director where appropriate
Oversee the planning, organization and implementation of program-related activities and events.

2 years of administrative experience in a healthcare setting

Knowledge of general and medical support practices and procedures
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
