The mission of Drake University's National Alumni Association is to engage alumni in a lifelong connection to the Drake experience by encouraging relationships among alumni, strengthening alumni relationships with the University, and promoting pride in Drake.
We are seeking a successful and energetic individual to manage all aspects of Drake University's regional alumni outreach and engagement including volunteer management, event programming and communication. This position will serve as the staff liaison to our eleven regional advisory boards (RABs) across the country.
This individual will also be responsible for developing and executing strategic virtual engagement programs including the Back to Class series. Other important responsibilities include assisting the Director of Alumni Relations with the programmatic needs of the National Alumni Board of Directors, as well as sharing responsibility for managing Drake's class and affinity reunions and organizing Drake Relays activities.
This position requires an individual who is a self-starter and detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills. It requires an individual who excels at volunteer management, relationship building and event planning. The selected candidate should be comfortable with identifying and pursuing creative problem solving, as well possessing the ability to communicate effectively to a variety of stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate will have a strong work ethic and a successful track record of building and growing programs and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, alumni, faculty, and community partners.

Lead and support each of the (11) Regional Advisory Boards in implementing their programming initiatives, recruiting volunteers and maintaining regular communication with the RAB leadership. Provide leadership and support to RABs for national alumni programming including DU Good Month, Drake Me Out and Regional All-In celebrations.
Develop and execute targeted online/digital alumni engagement and enrichment programs
Support the alumni director in managing the needs and programs of the Drake National Alumni Board of Directors.
Support additional programming and outreach work of the Alumni Relations Office as needed. Availability will require frequent nights, weekends and may include some overnight travel.
Plan and execute one alumni reunion program/event annually, including management of volunteer committees, execution of events and development of communication strategies.
Collaborate with the Drake development team and serve as a liaison with the University Colleges, Schools and Centers and Athletics department to plan effective alumni outreach and programs
