Primary job responsibilities will be the design, implementation, and scheduling of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for the women's basketball along with other programs as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Must be proficient in Olympic and strength training movements, exercise selection and programming speed mechanics, agility drills and plyometric progressions. Knowledge and understanding of training loads through Tendo and Push Units and/or other monitoring technologies is encouraged but not required. The ability to communicate and develop a working relationship with sport coaches, athletic trainers and student-athletes is imperative. Ambition of continual education in strength and conditioning is imperative. Assist with daily operation and maintenance of strength and conditioning facilities and support other strength staff members as assigned by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Must be willing to work on holidays and weekends.
Assists the Head Strength Coach in the design and implementation of speed, strength and conditioning programs for Football and other Olympic teams as given but not limited to teaching and motivating the athletes during all weight training, conditioning and rehab sessions.
Aid in the assistance of planning and coordination of training for other sports as needed.
Collaborate with athletics training staff to develop conditioning programs to prevent injuries. Develop/implement rehabilitation programs to return student athletes to participation in an effective and efficient manner.
Provides other duties as assigned.
