Pratt Institute is seeking a Technology Manager: macOS who under moderate supervision and with a moderate level of independent judgment and discretion will manage and support macOS, iOS, and related technologies within computer labs, classrooms, offices, and remote services utilized by programs located at the Pratt Manhattan Center. This position includes supporting hardware, software, communications, servers, and network connectivity for all areas listed, supervising student staff, providing first contact support to the Pratt Manhattan Center community, both onsite and remotely, and supporting 2D printing services. This work is performed both independently and in collaboration with other managers, as required. Accommodate an adjusted work schedule as per the demands of weekly scheduling needs throughout the academic year.
Key Essential Duties:
Configure and support Apple (macOS, iOS) devices in computer labs, classrooms, and offices for the local and remote Pratt Manhattan Center community
Work with Technology Manager: AV to ensure required AV technologies are functional
Collaborate with Technology Manager: Windows on all dual-boot configurations
Provide first contact support for students, faculty and staff regarding any IT issue as needed and assigned by the Senior Technology Manager, Associate Director
Work with vendors for procurements and maintenance contract compliance to ensure that equipment is well maintained, and repaired or replaced when necessary
Provide materials and information concerning lab budgetary and equipment needs upon request
Contribute to and update the IT Knowledge base in Salesforce, and participate in skill-sharing initiatives as directed
Hire and supervise student workers
Perform all other related duties as assigned, including remote work and Telepresence shifts.
