The Social Research Specialist (SRS) is responsible for maintaining Western Carolina University's official space inventory for space reporting to internal clients and to the University of North Carolina (UNC) System Office. The position manages university space data in the CollegeNET 25Live software platform and in the UNC System space data platform (DAVE). Responsibilities include maintaining data integrity, updating data, maintaining the space management intranet resource site, working collaboratively with 25Live administrators in Student Affairs and the Office of the Registrar, supporting work of the university Space Management Committee, and creating, producing, and submitting reports on university space allocation and utilization.
The SRS is responsible for the routine administration of course evaluations, and contributes to the fulfillment of data requests and reports for university and external clients.
Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Bachelor's degree and experience working in higher education; experience working in a higher education Institutional Research office or other office handling university data, and experience working closely with administrators and faculty. Familiarity and experience with the CollegeNET 25Live software platform, and the Ellucian Banner ERP system is a plus.
