GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Technology Workshop Facilitator will report to the Coordinator of Student Engagement and conduct technology workshops during New Student Orientation (NSO) that are engaging, interactive, and prepare new students for all course modalities and support services via technology platforms. NSO will offer technology workshops that teach students how to use Moodle, CampusWeb, Student Portal, Email, and Zoom. Technology workshops will be available in-person and via remote. Workshops will run August - September 2021 with dates to be determined based on availability.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Provide guidance and support to new students on 4Cs technology platforms including Moodle, CampusWeb, Student Portal, Email, and Zoom, Mobile 4Cs app and other applicable platforms.
Lead NSO workshops through creative and interactive design that engages students in navigating technology platforms.
Provide students with an overview of course modalities and technology often associated with each.
Guide students on how to troubleshoot common problems with technology platforms and share common places to get support and solutions.
Online and classroom teaching experience with demonstrated best practices in using technology to support student success.
Experience with use of Moodle.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Knowledge and understanding of the challenges associated with students that are inexperienced or uncomfortable navigating technology.

COMPENSATION: $30.03 per hour (or current faculty hourly rate) for up to 25 hours to be worked August -September 2021. Part-time, non-benefited MCCC Unit Position.
