The Associate Director of Alumni & Parent Engagement is the lead organizer of all the large scale, on campus alumni and parent engagement events - Reunion, Family Weekend, and Frank Fernandez Dinner. This associate director works closely with the Communications Department as well as the College's social media coordinator to promote alumni stories and engagement via all the College's social media channels and publications. This person works closely with alumni volunteers and colleagues from across campus.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Plans and executes Reunion Weekend, including event logistics, programming, budget, contracts, and maintaining the communication and registration schedules. Works closely with the Assistant Director of Annual Giving to steward reunion committee volunteers.
Coordinates event logistics for Family Weekend/Homecoming Weekend, Frank Fernandez Dinner, Presidential Receptions, Alumni Awards ceremony, Dolphy Day receptions, webinars, and other special events as needed.
Manages the College's regional programming for CNY and NYC markets, in addition to a few key regions, in consultation with regional chairs and committees.
Supports social media strategies and initiatives by working with the Assistant Director of Annual Giving and the College/IT social media coordinator. Serves as the point person for the College's LinkedIn account and works with the Career Advising Office managing the Le Moyne group.
Acts as a liaison for the Le Moyne College Online Book Club.
Has working knowledge of web pages, online community functionality and distribution of electronic communications, event announcements and newsletters.
Works closely with Annual Fund colleagues to coordinate Giving Day, Young Alumni Giving and social media related fundraising.
Serves as office liaison for the Alumni Board with the Young Alumni, Reunion, and Awards Committees of the Board.
Plans engagement opportunities for alumni affinity groups, such as Love at Le Moyne, Legacy families, and more.
Additionally, works with Career Services to plan student networking events.
Acts as the liaison between the Office of Alumni & Parent Engagement and the Office of Communications, submitting project proposals and managing the approval process.
Manages relationships with approximately 25 donors and/or prospects in support of the College's major and annual giving programs.
Assists in other department and divisional activities as assigned by the Director of Alumni Engagement & Volunteer Mobilization and/or the Vice President of Institutional Advancement.

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event planning, social media management
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
