The Department of Theatre, Film, and Digital Production seeks to hire qualified lecturers with strong records of research, teaching and design. The candidates will be hired to teach one or more courses of the following in design for the Department of Theatre, Film and Digital Production:
TFDP 133: Scene Design for Theatre, Film, and Television (Winter quarter)
TFDP 172: Design in Production (Fall and Spring quarters), which will include designing one department mainstage production. (Production meetings: Wednesdays 3:00-4:00pm)

The appointments begin on September 23, 2021 (Fall); January 3, 2022 (Winter); and March 28, 2022 (Spring) and continue for one quarter, with a salary of approx. $6326.00 per course. Positions are contingent upon funding.
Required Qualifications: MFA or PhD in Design in film, theatre or related field, or a minimum of 3 years equivalent professional experience. The candidates should have broad experience in the design field, including lighting, CAD, etc.
Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience at the university level is desired. UCR is a world-class research university with an exceptionally diverse undergraduate student body.
