The IT Support Specialist will work collaboratively within our team of IT professionals to address IT needs and enhance the overall IT environment on campus. Our ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of IT practices and the adaptability to apply them in complex, difficult or unprecedented situations. A thorough knowledge of Microsoft and Apple operating systems, academic/business software applications, and software deployment technology is required.
Perform hardware and software support for faculty and staff in all areas of campus
Provide IT service and support for instructional spaces including computer labs
Employs Endpoint Management technology to configure equipment and deploy software
Collaborate on campus IT projects including: configuration/deployment of print management and endpoint security software, annual IT inventory, and other projects as they arise.
Research and formulate resolutions to IT related problems and incidents
Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience and background may substitute for educational requirement
3 years of related experience.
Certifications such as A+, Security+ (CompTIA), Microsoft, or Apple ACSP are preferred.
Has managed endpoints in a Windows or Mac OS Enterprise environment.
Has experience working with Active Directory and Group Policy
Understands how to configure and apply endpoint management tools such as InTune, MECM, DeepFreeze, Jamf, etc.
Significant experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace
