The office of Student Wellness is seeking a Prevention Specialist for Substance Misuse & Social Responsibility. This position will work collaboratively to create a safe, healthy learning environment that supports the personal and academic success of all students, particularly those seeking substance misuse & recovery support services. This position will be responsible for developing educational initiatives, supervise the grad assistant for Collegiate Recovery Communty, and building a campus environment that supports recovery. This includes developing events, training, and marketing materials to reduce stigma related to addiction and recovery as well as providing direct support to students through one-on-one supports and programs. The preferred candidate will have familiarity with various evidence based harm reduction strategies, understanding of recovery supports, ability to work well with team members, strong initiative and excellent public speaking skills.
Computer skills and able to quickly learn online programs.
