The Instructional Technologist will be responsible for partnering with individual faculty, and academic programs to conceptualize, design, develop, implement and evaluate the effectiveness of hybrid, blended and online technology enhanced course materials. The ideal candidate will develop, implement and manage digital projects for Meyers faculty; will apply a deep knowledge of andragogical teaching/learning strategies to the creative use of technology to improve teaching and learning; and will assess tools to address faculty members instructional goals. In addition, the Instructional Technologist will train faculty in the use of the Universitys academic technology tools as well as technologies available in classrooms.
Required Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Preferred Education: Master's Degree
Required Experience: 3+ years Demonstrated professional experience in designing and developing teaching and learning materials and providing formal instruction, preferably at the college level; Experience designing course materials within a learning management system such as Brightspace. Experience developing websites and implementing graphic design work Experience with one or more web content management systems, such as Wordpress, or Drupal as well as familiarity with Photoshop, Illustrator, and other graphics development tools
Preferred Experience: Experience in a higher education institution, especially developing and/or supporting research and teaching innovation; development of e-learning tools; application development; development and support of complex, data-driven projects in a LAMP environment.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Understanding of classroom technologies including networking, projectors and other media equipment typically found in networked classrooms.; ability to communicate information and ideas effectively; working knowledge of LMS; ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
