Supervise and coordinate activities related to swine genetic and nutrition research experiments that are conducted at the ARDC swine research facility, Ithaca, NE and at the Animal Science Department's campus research facility. Responsibilities include assigning pigs to experiments, supervising collection of research data, inputting records into electronic files, maintaining these data files, and acting as a liaison between PIs and the manager and technicians at ARDC, hiring and supervising student labor, and preparing reports. Irregular hours required on occasion.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in biological science or a closely related field plus three years relevant experience in a swine unit or animal research environment required. Thorough working knowledge of experiment design essential. Excellent written and oral communication required. Must have knowledge of SAS, dBase, EXCEL, and MTDFREML software.
Master's Degree in biological science preferred. Supervisory and grant writing experience desired. Tissue/feed analysis helpful.
