Advertised Job Summary:
Collaborate with the Director of SmartState Center on research related to the Richardson Family SmartState Center of Economic Excellence in Tourism and Economic Development. The specifics of the research responsibility will be in Tourism Destination Management and Resilience. The job purpose involves three main areas: 1). writing and submitting proposals for funding, 2). writing and submitting scholarly articles, and 3). grant management.
The specifics of the job duties are: Write and submit four (4) research articles to A or A+ journals (as identified by HRTM journal rankings [two (2) in Fall and two (2) in Spring. Write and submit two (2) research proposals for funding, one (1) in Fall and one (1) in Spring (one for Latin America and one for elsewhere). Manage, oversee, and produce annual reports on the Stateof SC Mobile Data Project, and update the dashboard weekly. Develop a newsletter for the State of SC based on the Mobile Data Project. Act as faculty mentor to PhD and MS students affiliated with the Richardson Family SmartState Center of Economic Excellence in Tourism and Economic Development.
Advertised Minimum Qualifications :
Earned PhD in Hospitality Management or closely related field, plus two years of post-doc experience.
