The Data Warehouse ETL Developer is responsible for the Design, develop, and implement enterprise-wide data integration projects such as Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) processes for data warehouse and other enterprise wide applications, related functions and data movement strategies in a secure environment. Serves as a member of ITS project teams involving data integration solutions in order to translate end to end user needs into high performance designs. Must be able to analyze business requirements and recommend the most appropriate data warehouse solution to satisfy business requirements. Able to meet specifications for academic, research or administrative needs while balancing potential solutions vs. ITS architectural strategies and end user requirements. The Data Warehouse ETL Developer is also responsible for the following areas: Data Integration and Transformation; Data Management; Project Management/User Interaction; Metadata Management and Data Modeling.
Role Specific Competencies:
Experience with IBM information server suite products (Datastage, Quality Stage, Information Analyzer, and Information Service Director). Knowledge of advanced ETL concepts including web services. Expert in data ingestion with JSON, XML, Oracle, SQL Server, NoSQL, REST API Intermediate knowledge of programming using Java, Python Understands the importance of Metadata and IBM's Information Governance Catalog Understands integration between Information Governance Catalog and BPM Creates and reviews Detailed Technical Specifications and performs the review of Technical Design for tasks of a high level of complexity Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of backup and recovery and debugging techniques Uses advance concepts for ETL (staff & senior levels) Acts in Development Lead capacity (in Agile/scrum) for medium to high initiatives, prioritizing and assigning project tasks, providing guidance and resolving issues. Reports status to Project management and interfaces with other domains, IT areas and 3rd party vendors as needed. Works with the Agile/Systems Development Life Cycle Desirable programming skills in Spark, R programming Desirable Perform Data Engineering to enable Data Science Understands concepts of slowly changing dimensions, bridge tables, and fact less fact tables.

Senior Data Warehouse ETL Developer: Required: A minimum of five years of experience with a thorough understanding of ETL methodologies, business intelligence and data warehousing principles and architectures including the concepts, design and usage of data warehouses and data marts. Salary up to 115K
Skills/Knowledge: Bachelor's Degree in technology or information systems or related field. Must have over all 5+ Years Data Management experience in building Data Engineering pipelines using Information Server - Toolsets (Datastage, QualityStage, Information Analyzer, Information Service Director) Must have 5+ years' experience in Data Warehousing projects Preferred experience in different data formats (CSV, JSON, XML, Parquet, ORC, Avro and others) and its usage Preferred experience in creating DevOps with Datastage, JIRA, Artifact Repository Desirable experience in Middleware, Infrastructure operations, integration and automation Preferred knowledge in Different Data Ingestion& Integration pipelines Master in one or more of the following areas: database concepts, multi-tier/multi- platform application development, distributed processing, open-source, object-oriented programming concepts, understanding of systems design. Able to direct or provide guidance on the design of solutions in or between domains Demonstrated mastery with various testing concepts and debugging tools. Expert understanding of source code management tools and concepts Understanding of DevOps concepts and tools Excellent verbal and written technical and business communication skills.
