Job Summary: The IT Technical Specialist IV performs advanced IT activities for specialized, complex and/or functional areas requiring the expert knowledge and professional application of IT principles, practices and techniques in accordance with industry standards and university policy. Requires a great amount of evaluation, originality or ingenuity. May be responsible for training, assisting or supervising lower level IT personnel and other staff. May lead projects and cross-functional activities.
Additional Department Summary: The position will serve as the technical expert for all internal departments utilizing the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM), Event Management (EMS), and Conference Center Management (CMC) systems. They will serve as an advisor for the college end users to ensure the information provided is accurate and adheres to the guidelines set by the institution. The position will have technical oversight and approval of all event setup, registration activities, event check-in, web form design, event communications, financial/budget reporting and workflows as it relates to customers of CCS. They will design and develop communications essential to the business functions of the events as it relates to events in the EMS or are contracted through Conference Services and the Bryant Conference Center & Museum. They are to ensure that event communications and web information adhere to the accessibility guidelines and any branding policies that may relate to the institution. They must be knowledgeable and adhere to all FERPA, HIPPA and PCI compliance policies and guidelines. The CRM Administrator will support the ongoing development of the College of Continuing Studies Salesforce platform. The successful candidate will have a record of supporting end-users and improving processes and adoption using the CRM and associated technologies. The position will work primarily with UA Safe State, Bryant Conference Center, and Program and Conference Management teams, supporting their current needs and future growth. The position will be responsible for day-to-day support, maintenance, and improvement of the CRM platform in collaboration with the Director of Development. This role is a combination of business analyst, administrator, and solutions architect.
Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and three (3) years of CRM, IT, or system administration experience; OR Master's Degree and one (1) year of CRM, IT, or system administration experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Strong communication, project management, and business analyst skills. The position must be able to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, translate high-level information into details, and effectively transition between technical and non-technical constituents. The CRM Administrator/Business Analyst is an internally motivated, analytical thinker who possesses a positive attitude and can navigate all levels of the organization effectively. The position will develop workflows, and flows to drive efficiency, speed, and great customer service. The right fit will be excited to deliver users' requested features while keeping an eye on scalability and efficiency. This person will be working closely with the Development team to architect, configure, document, train, and implement cross-functional solutions that improve the reliability and usability of the CRM.
Preferred Qualifications: Salesforce Admin Certification preferred. Experience in higher education in a university setting is highly preferred. Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience supporting Salesforce in an enterprise environment. Experience in customizing CRM applications. Experience with Lightning Experience and Lightning Components. Strong problem-solving and analytic skills.
