This is a 10 month, 40 hour per week, benefits eligible, AFSCME position.

Starting pay: $18.67 per hour
Responsibilities/Duties 1. 30%- General administrative tasks a. Send out correspondence to all newly admitted students b. Reconcile p-cards each month c. Pay monthly bills (ASLIS, ACS, AT&T) and send out invoices when needed (LSC) d. Reconcile department budgets and month end expenses e. Approve payroll for student staff f. Keep all support material supplied and available g. Provide answers and support to all visitors h. Recommend, order and maintain office equipment and office supplies i. Manage list serve and data base to keep records and numbers current j. Attend department meetings k. Collect, analyze, and prepare reports i. Year end report ii. Priority Registration iii. Budget initiatives iv. Evaluations
2. 25% - Train, schedule, and delegate student staff
a. Identify and delegate student employee duties to support accommodations. b. Training student employees regarding expectations and standards c. Put each student employee through our 5 part training module each semester d. Schedule full coverage to meet all office and DR student needs e. Schedule rooms and student staff for finals week, serving hundreds of DR
3. 45% - Manage the provision of all accommodations; testing, note taking, and other services for DR students
a. Each day request exams from the instructors, secure exams, communicate with instructors regarding exam specifics, run schedule for exams, independently resolve problems and answer questions of all kinds b. Creating files for new students registering with DR c. Explain policies and procedures to parents, students and faculty d. Manage all DR calendars, schedule meetings and set appointments for all students e. Process requests for testing. f. Process requests for note-taker and secure a note-taker g. Process all students eligible for early registration (paperwork and cue times) h. Arrange for exams to be proctored i. Arrange for final exams - students (firm dates and times), reserve rooms, schedule coverage j. Maintain test security k. Ensure exams are delivered and reconciled in the data base I. Scan and edit books into alternative format m. Provide captioning for in class material n. Train students how to use assistive software
Required Qualifications: High school diploma/GED and four years of related office experience. Training/education may be substituted for some of the years of experience.
