The Student Hourly Assistant, under general supervision, will work in a research team under the supervision of a faculty member in the College of Business. The student employee will be responsible for assisting the faculty member in a variety of non-administrative tasks that may include collecting and preparing research data, documenting and presenting results. The student employee will also be expected to transcribe interview data and to manually validate and organize data in spreadsheet format. Additionally, the student employee will also be responsible for scheduling and keeping record of the use of project resources as well as updating the website of the project.
Assist with research data collection (Literature review, survey and interview) and research data entry
Assist with transcribing interview, formatting and analyzing data
Create presentations in Microsoft PowerPoint and prepare research posters
Prepare and distribute project related flyers and ads
Perform other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Presently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for at least nine (9) graduate or six (6) undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done.
Must be in good academic standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.0 GPA
No prior experience necessary
For work eligibility during a summer term, a student must be enrolled for at least six (6) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours or nine (9) graduate semester hours for the upcoming fall term.
