Stony Brook University's Department of Pathology is seeking a Surgical Pathologist to serve as an Anatomic Pathologist with responsibilities and duties in surgical pathology, autopsy pathology, and medical education.
Academic rank at Stony Brook University Renaissance School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience and academic record.
MD, DO, or equivalent in Anatomic Pathology. American Board of Pathology board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology. Eligibility for New York State licensure. Strong diagnostic skills and the potential to serve as an outstanding educator of medical students, Pathology residents, and clinical fellows. Demonstration of scholarly contributions in clinical/translational research and experience in medical education.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology or sub-specialty area, including, but not limited to, gynecologic, breast, genitourinary, head & neck, pediatric, perinatal pathology and cytopathology. In lieu of fellowship training, demonstration of expertise in sub-specialty will be considered.
