Job Summary/Basic Function: Job Summary: Lamar University seeks an innovative and skilled individual to serve as Programmer Analyst III. The Programmer Analyst II provides development, Integration, Analysis, and support services for Lamar University's ERP applications in the Information Management and Decision Support (IT) division. Under the guidance of the Database Services Manager, the successful candidate will develop technology solutions and customize vendor-supplied products for business departments across the university. This position will work with Business Analysts, application vendors, data custodians, security teams, and functional users to understand technology needs and will prepare design documents, program, and test technical solutions. Guides and leads Programmer Analysts I in coding, testing, documenting, and implementing solutions. Studies, recommends, and customizes existing code to improve the performance and efficiency of current processes. Follows industry standard best practices and the Software Development Life Cycle procedures. Maintains custom and vendor supplied code with a version control method.

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge and experience working in a cloud environment. Oracle Database Administration knowledge. Experience with QA / QC Testing tools. Experience with data analytical tools. Experience with Python Programming language. Knowledge of Ellucian ERP products. Experience with Ellucian Banner, Page Builder, and ODS products.
