The Training Specialist, under general supervision, develops, designs and delivers classroom and individual training programs.
Develops, reviews and evaluates training materials.
Delivers classroom and online/virtual training to employees.
May develop additional online training programs.
Assists in identifying training needs of employees and departments.
Coordinates training program schedules.
Conducts bi-weekly New Employee Onboarding.
Conducts Supervisor training.
Maintains training records.
Maintains and tracks 6 month and annual performance evaluation until completion.
Assists with general HR duties and responsibilities as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Education â“ Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience â“ Two years of related experience.
-Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
-Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented.
5 years or more experience in training and development.
Knowledge and experience in Human Resources.
Hours & Days: Monday-Friday up to 19.5 hours a week.
Funding for this position is based on available budget.
This is a security-sensitive position. The individual in this position is required to handle Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA regulations. The individual is required to handle PHI in accordance with A&M System policy and is further required to complete HIPAA training as a condition of employment, within a reasonable time-frame after the individualâ™s employment, and on an as-needed basis thereafter.
