The College of St. Scholastica (CSS) is seeking a team-oriented, motivated and innovative full-time faculty member to join our Physician Assistant (PA) program. Faculty rank and salary will be based on terminal degree and experience. Start date is negotiable. The PA Program has strong administrative support, potential for inter-professional opportunities, excellent benefits, and a tremendous collaborative spirit.
Responsibilities include teaching within the PA Medicine curriculum, student advising, pursuit of independent scholarship, and participation in college, department, and community service activities. The successful candidate will work well with diverse populations and will advance the Benedictine values of the College.
The clinical faculty member will assist the Program Chair in the leadership and management of the program and work as part of the clinical team with the Director of Clinical Education, other Clinical Coordination Faculty, and the Program Manager to recruit, establish, coordinate, maintain, evaluate and support clinical students, clinical sites and to coordinate clinical rotations for the PA students during their clinical training. Clinical practice is encouraged.
- Master’s of Physician Assistant Studies is required from an accredited PA program. - Current NCCPA certification. - Eligibility for licensure in the state of Minnesota.
- Minimum two years of clinical experience as a practicing PA. - Experience in medical education. - Doctoral degree. - Experience working effectively with a wide diversity of people. - Strong cross-cultural communication skills.
