The Department of Philosophy at the University of California, Riverside is seeking to hire part-time Lecturers for AY 2021-22. We anticipate needing to hire instructors for some or all of the courses listed below.
Positions are contingent on available funding. Applications for Fall Quarter courses must be received by August 23, for Winter and Spring by October 1. The Fall 2021 schedule is indicated below. Winter 2022 and Spring 2022 schedules are TBD. The initial review of applications will begin on August 23, 2021; applications must be received by then to be assured of consideration.

Winter 2022: Philosophy 7: Critical Thinking Philosophy 112: Mortal Questions Philosophy 121K: Hume Philosophy 134: Philosophy of Mind
Spring 2022: Philosophy 7: Critical Thinking Philosophy 161: Ethical Theory Philosophy 164: Justice
The position requires a Master’s in a related field and one year of teaching experience at the college level. Advanced graduate work in Philosophy (ABD or Ph.D.) is a preferred qualification.
