The Associate Director of Network Management will lead the management and operations of business collaborations with hospital and physician practice provider organizations, health plans, and employers in the United States. An exemplary candidate will have an engagement or account management skillset with healthcare experience in strategy, business development, consulting, or network development background.?? Will oversee a team providing program management, project management, and operational coordination to ensure delivery of services to external clients.?? Oversees the implementation of new clinical business initiatives including all assessment and planning processes working closely with senior administrative and clinical leadership at Dana-Farber and senior administrative and clinical leadership at external organizations. Serves as the administrative lead for the physician integration team working closely with the Medical Director of Network Management/DFCI Cancer Care Collaborative. Will work closely with Senior Director, VP and Corporate Development teams within Business Initiatives and Alliances to forecast and plan for new projects and relationships and evaluate bandwidth and operational efficiency opportunities. Provides oversight and direction for renegotiating and/or renewing contracts with existing clients and providing contract management services to ensure delivery of contractual commitments. Interfaces closely with marketing and communications, legal, and regional system operations teams to ensure seamless coordination of collaborations and services.

Relationship Management and Operations Oversight (70%)
Guides and oversees activities to support relationship, quality assurance and service delivery to external clinical partners. Work with various internal and external stakeholders to define the terms of additional agreements and implement support services and initiatives for the relationships.
Oversees and leads all assessment and planning consulting engagements including project management and coordination across departments (Quality & Patient Safety, Nursing, Pharmacy, IT, Facilities, etc)
Contribute to enhancement of DFCI reputation and brand through relationship building
Management of concierge patient referral service for collaborators
Oversees activities to assess certain cancer centers, develop and implement strategy for ongoing roll-out of new initiatives and programs to member sites, tracking key success metrics accordingly
Ongoing senior level relationship management
Ensure ongoing involvement and engagement of Dana-Farber leadership, as appropriate
Develops and maintains initiatives to more closely align community partners and affiliates with DFCI core services for the purpose of improving care and developing new or expanded relationships
Management of medical second opinion relationships and vendors
Management of external vendors used to enhance collaborations and contractual commitments
??Supervisory Responsibilities (30%)
Hires, mentors and advises, assigns and evaluates work, reviews performance formally at least annually, recommends promotion and salary adjustments and takes corrective action.
Allocates managers??? time appropriately between projects and negotiates with stakeholders when priorities need to be shifted.
Mentors managers to advance skills within the team related to communicating effectively, influencing stakeholders, data and financial analysis, project management, problem solving, written communication and presentation.
Performs additional duties as assigned. May include domestic and international travel.

Assures compliance with DFCI policies, procedures, regulatory agency requirements and ensures safe, efficient and effective delivery of quality care, in collaboration with department leaders
Manage team of up to 6 direct reports, as well as up to 12+ indirect reports.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
BA or BS required; MBA, MHA, MPH or masters degree in related field preferred
Minimum of 5+ years??? experience in business development, healthcare strategy, account management, or business planning is required (or related consulting experience)
Experience working in an academic medical center strong preferred; experience within oncology preferred
Minimum of 2 years supervisory/management experience
Ability to travel domestically as required (estimated 5-10%)
