The UK Department of Psychiatry seeks a counselor/therapist to provide individual, group and/or family therapy in a large psychiatry clinic with 26,000+ patient visits per year.
This individual will be part of a multidisciplinary team of providers to provide comprehensive mental health care for patients in an Ambulatory setting.
Responsibilities will include providing comprehensive mental health assessments and evidenced –based psychotherapy for both established and new adult patients in a collaborative, academic environment. Candidates will possess excellent documentation and billing skills through the electronic medical record. Participation in adult team treatment meetings as well as departmental staff meeting are expected.
This individual will not provide direct supervision to students and residents, but will interact with them to provide clinical care.
Qualified candidates will have experience providing direct counseling/therapy to patients with a focus on patients greater than or equal to 18 years of age.
Assessment and Intervention skills, Problem Solving, Advanced Technical Writing, Clinical skills, Program Evaluation and Interpretation of Data skills, Public Speaking skills, Electronic Health Record.

Required License/Registration/Certification :
Master's degree plus at least 2 years of direct patient care experience providing counseling/therapy preferred. MA, MS or MSW preferred License/Certification for Independent Practice preferred
