In conjunction with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Chief Digital Officer & Chief Information Officer (CDIO), the Assistant Chief Digital Officer (CDO) is responsible for implementing the digital strategy and managing partnering organizations, and for maintaining good relationships with, within, and between OIT and university stakeholders. This position will assist with driving the creation, innovation, adoption, and utilization of digital capabilities leveraged on behalf of university stakeholders, as well as effectively assess, represent, and sponsor all stakeholders in the digital ecosystem. The Assistant CDO will strive for adoption and implementation of industry standards, systems, processes, policies, procedures, and best practices for the digital development, integration, and innovative use of University systems across the institution. This position will assist in driving efficiencies across key business units, quickly and objectively diagnose challenges and propose solutions to lead to more innovative projects and promote diversity of knowledge and the use of digital platforms to build a strong digital ecosystem. This position plays a critical role in driving critical thinking and strong understanding of digital channels, multi-cloud integrations, partnership development and management, innovation, and customer satisfaction. This position also requires an engaged leader, guiding and mentoring teams through critical projects and managing the digital teamâ™s delivery calendar, roadmap and strategic focus to create a better feedback loop between OIT and University stakeholders to drive digital adoption and develop more innovation projects.Â The Assistant CDO will champion the importance of customer satisfaction and service within all teams, leading by example and encouraging positive customer relationship building to develop and deliver an innovative digital ecosystem in support of communication throughout the community. The Assistant Chief Digital Officer manages a core team and provides collaborative management of other departments engaged in digital implementations.Â
Bachelorâ™s degree required
10 - 15 years of relevant strategy and digital development or related experience
Demonstrated ability to drive digital innovation and serve as a cross-functional change agent across the organization
Understand core business processes and associated digital solutions
Have an innovative and disruptive mindset, constantly looking forward
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
Project management experience required
Ability to collaborate not only internally but with all customer constituencies
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to communicateÂ at all levels in the organizationÂ (with senior management, with technical and business-oriented project staff, with users and stakeholders)

Proven leadership skills and management experience
Experience working across a large portfolio of organizations to influence and lead change
Ability to work well within collaborative, integrated teams, displaying a proven ability in leading a team, controlling timelines and budgets, anticipating issues and working towards solution of complex problems
Ability to gain the confidence of the team as well as executive-level stakeholders by communicating regularly, keeping commitments and delivering as promised
