Director Admissions - Public Health and Community Medicine, School of Medicine - (21001578)
The Tufts University School of Medicine Office of Public Health and Professional Degree Programs oversees the educational affairs and student services inclusive of admissions, registration and career services for the public health and professional degree programs. This includes primary support for the medical school's master's programs (MPH, MS-PREP, MS-Biomedical Sciences, MS-Health Informatics & Analytics, MS-Medical Science (Physician Assistant and Doctor of Physical Therapy).
The Director of Admissions oversees admissions and recruitment. S/he is responsible for implementing and executing recruitment and admissions strategies that fulfill the enrollment objectives set by the Dean for the school. The Director monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of admissions policies, practices and procedures. S/he is responsible for the performance of Counselors and/or Assistant Directors as well as a Program Assistant. S/he ensures that a high-quality pool of applicants is available for the university and its programs. The Director oversees the marketing and communication strategies to promote the programs. This individual manages the admissions process, including the review of applicant information and decisions, oversees group information sessions for prospective students and represents the university at schools and college fairs during travel to assigned geographic recruitment territory and at alumni and other recruitment events. In addition, this individual will serve as a member of the Dean's management team, contribute to development of admissions policies and recruitment strategies and manage specialized recruitment functions such as publications or social media plans.
Bachelor's Degree and 8-10+ years of directly related professional experience.
Master's Degree in Student Services or related discipline.
Admissions related experience in a graduate or professional school setting.
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills.
Special Work Schedule Requirements: Position requires travel and some evening and weekend work.
