The Web Application Developer provides technical programming expertise in support of NYU’s Content Management System (CMS). This role works collaboratively as part of a support team to NYU’s Digital Communications with NYU IT to develop components, migrate, and provide technical expertise related to the CMS. The incumbent also supports NYU Search integrations with University websites and collaborates with schools, campuses, and units globally. The work involved will be with integrating and working with both front-end, back-end development as well as CMS configuration.

Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer or information science or a related subject.
Preferred Education: Master's Degree in computer or information science or a related subject
Required Experience: 3+ years of experience in a broad variety of web technologies. Front-end and back-end developer experience. CMS development experience (e.g, Adobe AEM Developer, Drupal web CMS, Wordpress, etc.)
Preferred Experience: 5+ years of experience with AWS services as S3 & Lambda for static site management. API integrations with sources of record to public-facing UI’s. Experience with, digital monitoring, logging, and diagnosing standard tools and methodologies. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) URL rewrites, redirects, and masking via CMS and alternate solutions
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: Familiarity with Digital Accessibility requirements WCAG 2.0+ AA. Knowledge of digital monitoring, logging, and diagnosing standard tools and methodologies. Mulesoft API gateway Postman RAML
