The Director of Development will coordinate and oversee fundraising activities to generate contributed income for Syracuse Stage from all sources, including individuals, corporations and foundations, government and in-kind donations. Other specific roles of the Director include:
Develop strong working relationships with Syracuse Stage Board of Trustees, funders, community members, and staff to achieve budgeted financial goals.
Implement and oversee logistics for donor/cultivation events including but not limited to the annual Syracuse Stage gala, opening night events and other projects as assigned.
Recruit, develop, and supervise development department staff of three.
Serve as a key member of teams tasked with raising funds in support of capital and endowment campaigns.
Participate actively in Stage's senior staff team, including in strategic planning and antiracism, equity, diversity, and inclusion initiatives.
