Job Description Summary The Department of Natural and Applied Sciences at Bentley is seeking an Adjunct Lecturer to teach one (1) section of the laboratory course Elements of Living Systems in fall 2021. This course introduces students to the basic structure and function of biologically important molecules. Students learn the relationship between the type of bonding and structure of a molecule dictates its interaction with its surrounding environment, with a particular focus on human systems. Through close examination of metabolic reactions, students study the underlining thermodynamics that governs the behavior of systems and learn how these fundamental chemical concepts are translated into innovative products and processes in the fields of biomaterials and biotechnology.
Must be available for in-person teaching on Bentley's Campus during class/lab sessions on Monday (3:30-4:50 PM) and Wednesday (3:30-6:20 PM) each week during the fall 2021 semester (September 7 - December 16). PhD in biological science, biochemistry, or related biological health science field is preferred, although Ph.D. candidates in late stages of training will be considered.
