The Wellesley College Rugby team is looking for a head coach. The WCRFC is a Division III, Developmental tier team competing in NEWCRC. Wellesley College is a historically women’s college located outside of Boston in Wellesley, MA. Due to COVID-19, the team was unable to compete last year. The Fall of 2021 will be a heavy recruitment season. The team is a passionate and diverse group with over 20 students currently on the roster, including trans and non-binary players. The right coach will be able to train new players, but also further existing players’ skills. The goal is to improve the skills as a team while focusing on maintaining a fun and low-stress environment.
Practices are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 5pm to 7pm and the games are typically scheduled on Saturday mornings lasting around 5 hours, but occasionally can be on Sundays.
The tournament schedule for Fall 2021 is available upon request but is subject to changes due to COVID.
The position is a part-time, non-benefits-eligible appointment in the Department of Physical Education, Recreation and Athletics for the 2021-2022 academic year. The Club Coach reports to Director of Recreation. The salary is $4,450 for the season. A CORI and SORI background check is required for all college hires.
