Portland Community College is seekinga Manager of New Student Engagement to provide college-wide comprehensive programming and services in supportof the onboarding of new students. This is a new position as a result of reorganization and you will havethe ability to create and impact change. The successful candidate willbeable to build and enviroment that inspires and communicates a senseof belongingand care to diverse group of students beginning their educationaljourney at the college. There will be opportunities to expand programming to ensure every student has an onboarding/orientation experience, mentoring teams, creating greater access and resources to students, and providing strategic cross-departmental collaboration. This role willadvance our effortstowrd acieving ewquitable student sucess by pulling our students who sit on the margins to center. This position is one of several openings at Portland Community College that will pilot a student affairs cohort model that seeks to furtherdiversify the college's studentaffairs team and advanceour efforts towards achieving equitable sgtudent scucess. Incoming student affairs professionals will be be provided with mentorship, professional development, and opportunities to connect with with stakholdrsacross the district.
