The Coordinator will interpret, analyze and monitor the academic progress of student-athletes; assess student-athlete overall academic performance and its impact on progress toward graduation and NCAA eligibility; maintain knowledge of all NCAA and University rules concerning academic standing and eligibility requirements.
In addition, the Coordinator will also be responsible for assisting the Associate AD for Student-Athlete Support Services (SASS) with the coordination of Student Development and implementation of the Spartan Shield Program. The coordinator will serve as the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Advisor.
The candidate will possess a passion for the holistic development of student-athletes. The candidate must be detailed oriented, have excellent communication skills, and meet deadlines.
A bachelor’s degree is required.
A bachelor’s degree is required and a master’s degree is preferred. Previous experience in student-athlete development, counselor education, teaching, or athletic academic advising at the university-level is preferred.
