What will you be doing in this role?
The Cedars-Sinai Neuro Clinic is a highly specialized multidisciplinary clinic that works very closely with the Neurology department to provide excellent and innovative care to patients with different neurological conditions. This clinic is a fast-paced environment that requires the ability to work independently. This position's right candidate is a licensed Speech and Language Pathologist with specialized training and experience treating neurological problems.
As per diem Speech-Language Pathologists in the Cedars-Sinai Neuro Clinic, you will primarily complete evaluations and provide appropriate treatment interventions per policies. Complete required documentation accurately and thoroughly within expected timeframes. Utilizes validated and standardized outcome measures to establish goals, demonstrate progress and patient rehabilitation prognosis. Monitors and modifies the progress of patients assigned to assistants. Demonstrates effective communication skills with patients, families, and care team members.
The Therapist-Per Diem is considered employed on an at-will basis with no guarantee of scheduled hours. Scheduling is done based on staffing need and availability. The Therapist-Per Diem staff member is expected to be available a minimum of 16 hours per month.
Graduate of an accredited Speech Pathology Program - Required
Master's Degree- Graduate of an accredited Speech Pathology Program - Required
Doctorate Degree Graduate of an accredited Speech Pathology Program - Preferred
California Speech Language Pathologist License- Upon Hire
Basic Life Support- Upon Hire
What else are we looking for?
A minimum of 1-year one year experience as a practicing therapist
Experience performing evaluations, designing and implementing treatment plans, and providing education in a manner appropriate to the patient's age.
Experience with assessment and intervention techniques in a medical, physical disabilities setting. Physical demands:
Able to push, pull, lift up to 100 lbs on an intermittent basis; able to bend,stoop, sit, stand and walk without restrictions.
