This Phlebotomist will be responsible for:
Collecting blood from patients of all ages for the purpose of diagnostic testing.
Completing the testing requirements of hundreds of clinical tests and arranging workflow to insure timeliness of testing.
Completing order entry of tests into LIS.
Performing a variety of special projects and additional work as needed/assigned.
Hours are with rotating weekends & holidays.
Varying shifts depending on the needs of the operation.
To qualify, you must have:
A High School level of education or its equivalent.
Completed a formal phlebotomy training with an intern/externship exercising those skills.
ASCP certification is preferred.
A Bachelor's Degree in a life science or medical related field (is preferred).
Prior direct experience beyond a clinical internship.
Previous pediatrics experience is strongly preferred.
Good communication, interpersonal, organizational and computer skills necessary to interact with patients and their families.
A reliable car to work in any location (Jamaica Plain, Waltham, Peabody, North Dartmouth, Weymouth, Lexington, 2 Brookline Place).
This position is eligible for an Employee Referral Bonus.
