Summary: The User Support Specialist II (Multimedia Specialist) uses videography, photography, motion graphics, sound and graphic design to complete stand-alone or multimedia projects to support the University’s educational mission while maintaining and operating the audiovisual equipment and systems on which they are displayed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Support of daily operations for audio/visual and media services to support classes and events
Consultation, design, layout, and digital production functions in the development of video, multimedia graphics, presentations, brochures, posters, exhibits, and other printed materials
Event and studio photography in color or black and white and using photographic accessories, including flash and studio lights, interchangeable lenses and various set dressings.
Operation and maintenance of lighting, sound equipment, various digital cameras and audiovisual equipment for classrooms and other university venues
Working with multiple video formats and editing software.
Troubleshooting problems, performing minor repairs, and arranging for major repairs of A/V equipment.
Printing and laminating functions and basic maintenance on various large format scan plotters and printers
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s Degree in Communication or a related field; Equivalent education, experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree requirement.
Five (5) years of experience in multimedia production in an academic and/or health care setting
Knowledge and experience with using Adobe Creative Cloud programs
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree in Communication or a related field
Familiarity with the following platforms and software: YouTube, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Webex, Zoom, Jabber.
Experience with capture software
