HITS is looking for a Clinical Business Analyst to support the anesthesia/operating rooms/surgical services, interventional procedure rooms, diagnostic vascular unit, cardiac cath and EP labs. Primary responsibilities include supporting and maintaining the Epic Anesthesia, OpTime, and Cupid applications. The Application Coordinator is the primary support contact for the applications. As an Anesthesia/OpTime/Cupid analyst, you work with clients to translate surgical-related workflows to Epic functionality,, Analysts provide support to clinical users by adapting software to meet their needs through knowledge processes, documentation needs, workflows, and practice standards.
The Clinical Business System Analyst is responsible for the following tasks:
Coordination and performance of analysis, design development, testing validation and implementation of EMR modules used by clinicians performing and documenting patient care activities, applying system functionality to support clinical process and organizational goals.
Address issues that arise for application areas with understanding of the organization's policies, procedures, quality standards, and business operations.
With support create and define system scope and goals through research and fact-finding to develop complex information systems
Prioritize and implement requested changes to the system
Coordinate, review and test each new release
Communicate with Epic representatives
Participate in training and work with end-users
Troubleshoot problems and questions from end-users
Work with report writers to ensure that the application has the necessary reports.
Requirements for Senior position:
BA/BS degree in a relevant Allied Health discipline and 5 or more years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
