The laboratory of Dr. Xiaowei Li in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Washington University School of Medicine is looking for a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the multi-disciplinary research team. A successful candidate will be involved in creating bioengineering platforms for tissue regeneration, focusing on developing cutting-edge biomaterial approaches to modulate injured/diseased tissue microenvironment, direct exogenous/endogenous stem cell fates, and facilitate functional tissue regeneration and integration. As the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is really a âœhead-to-toeâ surgery discipline, research within thedivision is represented across the broad surgical specialties with an entire spectrum of clinical, translational, and basic science studies, which offers dynamic research environments and excellent opportunities for the successful candidate to interact and collaborate with experts in medicine, basic science, and engineering.
Recent Ph.D. degree in material/polymer science, biomaterials, tissue engineering, or relevant fields.
Excellent oral and communication skills.
Substantial polymer synthesis/modification experience will be favorably considered.
Base pay is commensurate with experience.
