Assists with the daily operations of a department or unit. May also oversee a function or major project / program within a department. This position is in the Entrepreneurship Center. The position is located a tMallinckrodt. Work will be conducted at both the Danforth and Medical School campuses and occasionally off-campus.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Meet with Washington University affiliates to assist in identifying promising ideas and opportunities; help to evaluate ideas and technologies; conduct feasibility reviews; connect to resources across campus, across disciplines, and in the region.
Lead the University's Leadership in Entrepreneurial Acceleration Program (LEAP) twice per academic year. Includes shepherding high-profile faculty from both the Medical and Danforth Campuses through a semester long sequence designed to derisk University-IP in order to move technology towards licensing events. AD handles the entire operation including recruitment of judges, mentors, and experts to engage throughout the process. Hosts ~4 day-long judging events on campus where more than 75 faculty and external funders come together. Manage budget in excess of $500,000 for LEAP.
Educate researchers and others in business skills required to advance ideas, including invention disclosure and commercialization, through individual mentoring, presentations, and workshops.
Perform other duties as assigned.

$49,000.00 - $83,800.00 / AnnuallyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
