Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Department Administrator for the College of Nursing. The Department Administrator is responsible for human resources in terms of policy and procedure updates, recommending hiring and firing of personnel, onboarding new people for both permanent and grant positions. This position engages in research and reporting activities and will be responsible to ensure that all data reports are accurate and timely and distributed to stakeholders.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Creates a communication strategic plan for the Center, gaining input from other members of the team.
Leads strategic planning in collaboration with the Executive Director for the Center, Board and advisory council.
In the absence of the Executive Director the Department Manager manages the NJCCN affairs.
Develops, implements, and monitors the strategic objectives of the Center, working with the various committees, Board and the Executive Director.
Creates an annual strategic plan documents with objectives for the Center in coordination with Executive Director.
Meets with various agencies both internal and external to Rutgers to ensure the objectives are met.
Coordinates the data reports for the Center to include educational capacity surveys, demand data, Supply data, and the retirement data for the Center.
Creates the framework for the annual report and holds individuals accountable for their contributions.
Works with PIs on their research initiatives to ensure compliance to the grant requirements and that reports are completed in a timely manner.
Minimum Education and Experience:
A minimum of two years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated experience in office management and workforce reporting.
Strong communication skills and computer literacy.
Strong skills in Microsoft office, and WordPress and other programs that are used for data reporting.
Strong data management skills to analyze and produce reports that are meaningful to various constituency groups.
Must have attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication.
Advanced knowledge of data reporting in nursing workforce as it is a legislative requirement for Center
